Awe and Reverence
After a VERY long weekend... Three runs of The Vagina Monologues and one last run for Manhattan Lavender at the N Play festival AND one Music Video, I am happy to say that I am pleasantly exhausted.
I am extra happy to report that our V-Day Benefit Production of Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues, here in New York City, managed to raise close to $10,000 for our charities and for the women of the Congo!
What an accomplishment. What a difference this will make in so many women's lives.
This whole production was quiet an experience. I got to meet and work with a group of talented, giving and loving women. Everyone worked so hard and gave it there all in rehearsals and in the shows themselves.
There was a great energy throughout the entire process and the audience was so warm and grateful for our hard work.
A few of my friends who had seen The Vagina Monologues several times before, had said that our production was so the most creative and that it was the best one they've ever seen. (Hey, I can brag, no???)
We laughed, we cried, we danced, we wore lingerie, we moaned, we sang, we liberated the Vagina.
And it was wonderful.
Thank you to all the beautiful and talented people that made this all possible.
